# Cortisol IQ > Your Apple Watch already collects the data. Cortisol IQ turns your heart rate, HRV, sleep and breathing into one cortisol score on your wrist, compared with your own usual. iPhone and Apple Watch app. For wellness only. An estimate built on your watch readings, not a lab test. Key facts: - What it does: compares six Apple Watch signals (resting heart rate, heart rate while sitting, daytime and overnight HRV, sleep duration, overnight breathing rate) with the user's own usual and turns them into one cortisol score from 0 to 100. 40 means every signal is at the user's usual. - Bands: Low (under 30), Usual (30–49), Raised (50–59), High (60+). They describe distance from the user's own usual, not a clinical range. - The usual is learned from the last 4 weeks of Apple Health data; with a week of history there's no wait. - Every point of the score is attributed to a signal. Missing data never pushes the score up. - Alerts: only after about an hour above the user's alert level (default 60), at most two per 24 hours, never overnight. - It is an estimate, not a lab test, and does not measure cortisol or any hormone.
